Storytelling and Speaking

Naomi speaks regularly at churches and larger conventions. Her style is a mix of creative storytelling and Biblical encouragement. She loves to share on the theme of seasons, the body of Christ, God’s enabling and the heart of mission.

Her topics include:

  1. Trusting God through the seasons of life (Ecc 3)
  2. God’s enabling, when we feel like giving up (2 Cor 4)
  3. Finding our true home, wherever we are (John 15, Hebrews 11)
  4. When we struggle with comparison, Jesus says, ‘You follow me.’ (John 21)
  5. Having a heart for mission, wherever we are (John 4, Gen 12)
  6. Answering the question, ‘Lord, what exactly do you want me to do?’ (John 6)

As well as the above themes, Naomi also presents portions of scripture in a creative, storytelling style. These monologues include:

  • ‘More than the Manger’ – a dramatic monologue from the perspective of Mary, the mother of Jesus (the gospels)
  • ‘The Story of the Coins’ – a dramatic monologue from the perspective of the wife of Jairus (the gospels)
  • ‘For Such a Time as This’ – a dramatic monologue from the perspective of Esther (the book of Esther)
  • ‘The Girl Without a Story’ – a dramatic monologue telling the sweep of Biblical history
  • ‘The Bleeding Woman’ – a dramatic monologue from the perspective of the bleeding women (Luke 8:40-48)
  • ‘He Gave Me Living Water’ – a dramatic monologue from the perspective of the woman at the well (John 4)

Naomi Reed has a unique dramatic and storytelling talent. Through her wonderful gift of imagination she is able to re-enact biblical stories in a way that brings audiences fresh insight into the ways of God.
